Bastion Stromberg

This bastion was erected in 1751-53, rebuilt according to the plans of Strangporten in 1773–1774 and modernized in 1811. During Crimean company the bastion was armed with 7 guns and three howitzers and was one of the most strong bastions of the island. In 1873–1874 a glacier (refrigerator) was arranged for the hospital in the casemates of the bastion.
