Pier on the north side of Lonna Island

From approximately 1830 to 1880, gunpowder production was located here on the island and gunpowder reserves for the entire Sveaborg fortress were stored here. Helsinki, as can be seen in the picture, is very close - Katajanoka is only one and a half kilometers away, much closer than from the exploded Fort Pavel to Kronstadt (2.5 km there).
