Summary: there is no reason to go to Lonna separately, except for a picnic - you can buy a special basket with a picnic set at the pub mentioned earlier, lie down on the shore and drink with a view of Helsingfors. The view is truly wonderful. Getting there by boat from the Market Square costs 7 euros round trip, and the ticket includes a visit to the islands of Vallisaari and Kuninkaansaari + you can get out and wander around Sveaborg - all within one day.
