Guns of Länsi Mustosaari

11-inch gun of 1877 model at the position. There is an underground gallery lined with stone to cover the gun crew under the earthen parapet. This battery was built in two stages from 1863 to 1872 on top of the old Swedish bastion Gyllenborg, so it was completely covered with earth.
This island had the name Strelkoviy or Rifle island during Russian era.
