Parapet of 9-inch battery

This massive structure of brick and granite blocks was built before the outbreak of the Crimean War of 1854-56. In 1915, 6-inch guns were transferred from Harakka the land front around Helsingfors, but old 9-inch was held here and were scrapped soon after the war.
