Cottages of Mannerheim

There is a strong msconceptions among Russian tourists that all these beautiful buildings are not other than the cottages of Karl Gustav Mannerheim. This is not quite right. This one at Valkosaari island is a pavilion built in 1900 for Nyländska Jaktklubben yacht club, which lodges on the island already since 1861. And before that there was a boat yard, a military hospital and cholera quarantine facility.
