Fortifications consists of the chain of infantry strong points. These strongpoints are at the dominant heights. Strongpoints consists of granite or concrete entrenchments with rifle and MG pits, observation posts, fox holes, infantry shelters and ammo depots. Fortifications were supported by numerous artillery batteries in the depth of defence line.
