The main path from the Lower city to the Upper one. In the background there is a 14th-century gate tower. In the old days, the gates were locked and guarded at night... What is remarkable - it was locked from the side of the Lower City. The inhabitants of old Reval did not like their bosses and did not trust them. They even fenced off from them with a fortress wall, visible in the picture to the right. It was nicknamed by the people: 'The Wall of Mistrust'.
