Mustasaari island
The picture shows an old dilapidated marina on the northeastern tip of the Mustasaari island. In 1863-64, the so-called Pilskaya battery was constructed here, to protect the Pilskiy channel leading to Vyborg. The construction was supervised by the head of the Vyborg engineering command, engineer-captain Zhurakovsky and engineer-colonel Zverev.
