Preserved anti-splinter coating of the vault

On March 3 1940, the Red Army, after several unsuccessful attempts, captured Uuras and Fort Ravansari become the front line. The concrete parapet of the battery received many direct hits from bombs and shells, but it withstood and until end served as a reliable shelter for the defenders of the island.
