Ammunition elevator mounts

The assault on Ravansari island began on the morning of March 4. The Finnish artillerymen managed to repair a damaged 6-inch gun in the far left courtyard and sent the remaining shells with direct fire at enemy tanks. With the last shell they blew up the gun. On March 5, the Soviet infantry, with the support of tanks, managed to capture Cape Hotchkiss at the northern tip of the island (where the Transund battery was) and advanced on the distance about 100 m to the left flank of the concrete parapet of the battery.
