Turku Castle - view from the sea

Once upon a time the castle stood on an island surrounded by water, but due to rising land it ended up on the shore. A fair amount of soil was added during the construction of the port. The photo was taken from on board the ferry. The ferry terminal buildings are visible in the foreground.
