Turku Archipelago

To the west of Turku there is a vast and very interesting archipelago consisting of more than 20 thousand islands. There is practically no industry there, except for a couple of limestone quarries, but there is a nature reserve with unique nature. You can sail around the archipelago on local ferries, and from the town of Kustavi, which is 50 km northwest of Turku, you can get to Åland for free (although only if you are on foot or by bike).
