Södermur wall and Southern gate

Södermur means literally "southern wall". The photo shows a kind of intermediate tower, called the by the local fortification therm as "Sadeltorn" or colloquially "Saddle tower." It looks like the tower sits over the wall really. 20 towers of such type were built around during the 1350 reconstruction of the city wall.
