Kvarntornet tower

Tower of Kvarntornet stands at the former gate Skolporten. There was no gates till the wall at this place collapsed in 1849. The wall was restored in 1888 and the gate for pedestrians were arranged.
The tower has 4 levels, lower level has a stone vault, top - wooden floors. The tower is about 25 m height. It was built during the first modernization of the city's fortifications.
