Cathedral of St. Virgin Mary

Cathedral of St. The Virgin Mary was founded by German merchants in about 1100, consecrated in 1225 by the Lunchopping bishop. It was a parish church for Germans who lived permanently in Visby (in the mid-13th century Germans constituted about half of the city's population).
