Military fortification

On the western slope of the hill, among the dense undergrowth, you can find the remains of a very extensive structure. These are the ruins of an unfinished Finnish “heavy” bunker, founded in March 1944. Finns planned to turn Linnamäki into a forward strong point in front of the main VT line, but its construction was not completed. In June 1944, this position was taken by Soviet troops in just a few hours.
