Destroyed Finnish bunker

On June 12, 1944, elements of the Soviet 63rd Guards Infantry Division captured an unfinished stronghold on Linnamäki Hill and by the morning of the next day entered the village of Kivenappa. The main line of Finnish defense was north of the village, where the Finns stubbornly defended until Soviet troops broke through the VT line in the Kuuterselka sector.
