Gate of Taipale

This is the road through Taipalenjoki river (Burnaja) to Sakkola (Gromovo). The concrete block with groove for iron road barrier is seen on the foreground. The peaceful meadow just behind the anti-tank obstacles was the place of one of the bloodiest battle of Winter War 1939-40.
