Old Veinameinen

Baron Nikolai family possessed the park from 1788 till 1939. In this time the park got European-wide fame. There were many landmarks and memorials in the park. One of them was the monument of Kalevala's hero Veinameinen by architect Johannes Takanen. It was destructed during WW2 and restored in 2007. Opening of the monument is on the photo.
