It is excavated, cleared and covered with a roof. The works was carried out from 1968 to 1975 under the leadership of A. Kirpichnikov.
Initially, the fortress occupied approximately 1/4 of the island and had a quadrangular plan. The walls were 3 meters thick and rose to a height of 5-6 meters. The fortress had 3 towers and was separated from the rest of the island by a moat. The photo shows the remains of the Gate Tower.
